Abstract:
| In Part 1, previous research, the stratigraphy of the English Callovian (in particular those horizons in which the perisphinctids are most abundant), and aspects of ammonite morphology and classification are discussed. In the Pseudoperisphinctinae (Homoeoplanulites, Indosphinctes, Choffatia and Binatisphinctes) and Perisphinctinae (Alligaticeras), 17 species-group taxa are described. |
